TICKETS GOING FAST FOR ECMA 2009 EVENTS

Awards Gala and Friday Evening Concert Series Sold Out
Final line-ups announced for Rock Stage and SOCAN Songwriter's Circle


(Corner Brook, NL) If you haven't already purchased your tickets for the 2009 East Coast Music Awards, Festival & Conference, you'd better get to it! Public tickets for the Music Awards Gala on Sunday evening at the Pepsi Centre, as well as the Friday evening Concert Series at the Arts & Culture Centre are sold out.

The public is invited to attend the four-day musical festival consisting of some of the best East Coast artists performing on such official stages as the Rock Stage, Co-operators Roots Room, Galaxie Rising Star Showcase, College of the North Atlantic Discovery Stage, Concert Series, SOCAN Songwriter's Circle and the Bluebird North Showcase. In addition to the official ECMA stages, numerous partnered stages will profile artists at other venues throughout Corner Brook - visit www.ecma.com for full event schedule.

The final line-ups for the Rock Stage and SOCAN Songwriter's Circle have been announced. The Rock Stage will feature Canadian Idol runner-up Rex Goudie and multiple ECMA winners In-Flight Safety.

The East Coast Music Awards, Festival & Conference is an annual event organized by the East Coast Music Association as a critical part of its mission statement. The 2009 event will take place in Corner Brook, NL, from February 26-March 1, 2009. The ECMA is a not-for-profit organization whose mandate it is to foster, promote and celebrate East Coast music locally and globally. The ECMA currently has 1200 members.

The 2009 East Coast Music Awards, Festival & Conference has received financial support from the Government of Canada through ACOA and Service Canada, the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador through the Department of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, and the City of Corner Brook. The East Coast Music Association would also like to acknowledge the financial support of FACTOR and the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage (Canada Music Fund) and of Canada's private radio broadcasters.
