(Sydney, NS) - The East Coast Music Association is thrilled to bring some of the best and brightest from the national and international music business community to Sydney, Nova Scotia for four days of seminars, forums, workshops, showcases and meetings as part of the 2010 East Coast Music Awards, Festival and Conference from March 4th - 7th.
The ECMA 2010 Conference 'Switched On - Tune In To The Business Of Music' has something to offer every member of the industry, artists, managers and businesses. Led by a star-studded line-up of national and international panelists and guest speakers, the 2010 conference will feature a diverse range of professional development sessions, including Export Training Workshops, 'Two for the Show' - Live Performance Pitch Sessions, Live Performance Coaching Makeovers and a Keynote Address led by one of the greats of British contemporary music broadcasting, Bob Harris from BBC Radio 2.
Conference highlights include an array of sessions covering a broad range of topics, from Cyber PR and Social Media, to Marketing Music in the New Economy, Digital Distribution Platforms, DIY Indie Town Hall, to the popular Music Managers Forum. Industry and songwriting experts will share their expertise and unveil the business behind Monetizing Music File Sharing, Songwriting Royalties and Revenue Streams.
The 2010 International Program will see talent buyers from the United States, Europe and Australia meet face-to-face with export-ready artists and companies in international One-on-One Business Meetings. Featured conference sessions include the popular Music & Image Music Supervision workshops, Touring Down Under - A Case Study on Australia, Exporting to France and Exporting Internationally working in foreign markets.

ECMA is pleased to offer its members with a new and unique opportunity to connect with the worldwide online social media revolution. The Cyber PR Boot Camp - Road Map to Social Media Success is a step-by-step, Nine-Week Social Media Online & Teleseminar Course facilitated by Ariel Hyatt (Ariel Hyatt Publicity & Cyber PR, New York) aimed towards supercharging your PR, building your fan base and earning you more money. This interactive, hands-on, Social Media Online & Teleseminar Course is open to music industry professionals - artists, manager, labels and marketing and PR specialists and begins on Monday, February 1st and will run through April 9th, 2010. Pre-registration is required for a discounted fee of $150.
Tom Jackson, President of Tom Jackson Productions, is back and once again will bring his Live Performance Coaching Makeover workshopsto the ECMA Conference. In front of a live audience, Jackson will critique on-stage with East Coast artists, coaching on performance techniques and best ways to connect with audiences. This is a world class opportunity to work with Jackson or see him in action.
ECMA and the Atlantic Film Festival partnership program, Music & Image will bring together buyers and supervisors from the film and television industry to explore opportunities for today's musician in the new global marketplace. Music & Image is pleased to present a three-hour workshop exploring the world of music supervision - What's in a Song? Selecting the Perfect Tune for that Pivotal Scene and Music Supervision in the Digital Age - What You Need to Know.
