Halifax, NS – ECMA Executive Director Scott Burke is pleased to announce that Meghan Scott has joined the team as Marketing & Communications Manager for the East Coast Music Association.
“We’re absolutely delighted to have Meghan on board,” said Burke. “Meghan’s impressive past experience in event marketing as well as her involvement in and familiarity with the East Coast music industry make her an excellent choice for the Marketing and Communications position.”
Scott, a recent transfer to Halifax from her hometown of Fredericton, NB, is experienced in both event and artist management. She worked as the Communications Coordinator for the ECMA 2008 Fredericton event, and has been an organizer of the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival for the past six years. Meghan also served as the Marketing Director for the Fredericton Playhouse for a number of years. She is a Communications graduate from St. Thomas University.
In 2010 Scott branched out on her own to develop her artist management company, Tuck and Roll Productions. For the past five years, she has been managing musicians, and has helped develop the careers of East Coast artists Chris Kirby and Slowcoaster.
“I’m really excited about this position,” said Scott. “Coming on board in time to help plan the 25th Anniversary of the East Coast Music Awards is going to be fantastic. I’m very much looking forward to the challenge this job brings, and to continue working in music on the East Coast.”
