Halifax, NS – The East Coast Music Association is pleased to officially announce Stuart Jolliffe and Rob Steele as 2013 Halifax ECMA event co-chairs. Jolliffe and Steele will lead a vast local team of event staff and volunteers as the ECMA prepares to celebrate 25 years of fostering music on Canada’s East Coast. The ECMA 25th anniversary event is scheduled for March 6-10, 2013.
Jolliffe is the Regional Vice-President and General Manager of Delta Hotels Atlantic Canada, and brings years of event coordination to the co-chair position. He chaired the 2006 Juno Awards that were held in Halifax and has been involved with a number of not-for-profit organizations in the music sector.
“Our music culture is a key part of our identity as Atlantic Canadians,” said Jolliffe. “Rob and I are committed to making this 25th milestone celebration an event to remember.”
Rob Steele is President and CEO of Newcap Radio, one of Canada’s leading radio broadcasters with 85 licenses across Canada including local stations Q104 and KOOL 96.5. He is also one of the most diversified auto dealers in Atlantic Canada with 13 dealerships throughout HRM. Rob is a highly enthusiastic ambassador of East Coast music.
“I’m thrilled to be part of ECMA’s 25th Anniversary in 2013, and particularly honored to be involved in recognizing and promoting our East Coast talent in an epic way,” said Steele.
Planning is well underway for the 2013 event. ECMA will also be taking part in several upcoming events in the Halifax region, including an interactive booth at Tall Ships on the Waterfront on July 22nd, and Music in the Park on August 25th in the Hydrostone Market.
