ECMA Job Posting: Member Services, Registration and IT Coordinator

Since its inception in 1989, The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) has been a regional collaboration of people in the music industry. The ECMA is a registered non-profit association whose mission is to foster, develop, promote and celebrate East Coast Music and its artists locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. The annual ECMA Music Week is the most comprehensive and exciting international music event in Atlantic Canada.

The East Coast Music Association is currently searching for an enthusiastic individual to fill the role of Member Services, Registration and IT Coordinator. The incumbent should possess strong interpersonal skills, solid IT and network administration abilities, be results driven, resourceful and passionate about East Coast music.

The Member Services, Registration and IT Coordinator has overall responsibility for East Coast Music Association’s membership services, coordinating relations with members, as well as providing IT support to the organization.

Major Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  •     Develop membership recruitment strategies.
  •     Process new memberships and renewals, maintain extensive membership database and related website profiles.
  •     Provide ongoing IT support for the organization.
  •     Maintain ECMA website and registration database on an ongoing basis, coordinating with other staff.
  •     Oversee Marcato festival management system training, updates and maintenance.
  •     Setup, implement and administer registration process.
  •     Train and coordinate a team of up to 30 event volunteers.
  •     Solicit and review artist submissions for member’s lounge for ECMA week.
  •     Assist with stage set up as required.
  •     Prepare and present regular status reports as well as final event evaluation report.
  •     Manage volunteer database and work schedules.

Qualifications:

  •     University or College Degree related to Business, Marketing, Communications, IT or equivalent experience.
  •     Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  •     Effective database and records management skills.
  •     Experience in network administration.
  •     Self-motivated, with an organized and efficient work ethic.
  •     Familiarity with working in the not-for-profit sector.
  •     The ability to manage competing demands and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
  •     Proven computer, Internet, and technical skills (e.g. MS Office, graphic/web design/database applications, etc.).
  •     Fluency in a both official languages would be an asset.
