ECMA Job Posting: Sponsor / Partnership Manager

Since its inception in 1989, The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) has been a regional collaboration of people in the music industry. The ECMA is a registered non-profit association whose mission is to foster, develop, promote and celebrate East Coast Music and its artists locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. The annual ECMA Music Week is the most comprehensive and exciting international music event in Atlantic Canada.

The East Coast Music Association is currently searching for an experienced and enthusiastic leader to fill the role of Sponsor / Partnership Manager. The incumbent should be passionate about East Coast music, be results driven, resourceful and possess a creative flair. The Sponsor / Partnership Manager must be an effective communicator, relationship builder and be an excellent planner and coordinator.

The Sponsor / Partnership Manager has overall responsibility for East Coast Music Association’s sponsor / partnership program, focused on soliciting, contracting and managing revenue generating strategic partnerships. The incumbent will build and maintain relationships with current and potential sponsors to get maximum benefit for ECMA and maximum exposure for our sponsors.

Major Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  •     Develop and implement overall sponsor / partnership program, including sponsor / partnership grid, outlining contribution levels and benefits.
  •     Renew current sponsors and identify, target and follow up on all prospects.
  •     Develop partner-specific management plans and identify opportunities for enhanced benefits to partners.
  •     Assist in negotiating long-term contracts governing partnerships.
  •     Manage preparation of sponsor / partnership package and collateral materials.
  •     Ensure partnership benefits are delivered as agreed and meet established expectations.
  •     Ensure budgeted goals are achieved.
  •     Follow up with all sponsors / partners post ECMA week to gather feedback.
  •     Prepare and present regular status reports as well as final evaluation report.

Qualifications:

  •     Minimum 5 years experience in sponsor / partnership management field.
  •     Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  •     University or College Degree related to Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or equivalent experience.
  •     Self-motivated, with an organized and efficient work ethic.
  •     Familiarity with working in the not-for-profit sector.
  •     The ability to manage competing demands and expectations of multiple stakeholders.
  •     Effective database and records management skills.
  •     Proven computer, Internet and technical skills (e.g. MS Office, graphic/web design/database applications, etc.).
  •     Fluency in a both official languages would be an asset.
