ECMA Seeks Nominations to the Board of Directors

The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) seeks nominations to the Board of Directors.

Since its inception in 1989, ECMA has been a regional collaboration of participants within the music industry. The ECMA is a registered non-profit association whose mission is to foster, develop, promote and celebrate East Coast music, its artists and the music industry locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. The annual East Coast Music Week is the most comprehensive and exciting international music event in Atlantic Canada.

Five (5) positions are available on the ECMA Board of Directors, one from each region (Cape Breton, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island).

All members in good standing with a drive to shape the activities of the ECMA are encouraged to submit to be nominated to the Board of Directors. (For more information on membership, click here. If you have questions about your membership, please email membership@ecma.com.)

Successful candidates will serve a two-year term from September 2014 until September 2016. The ECMA Board of Directors meets four-five times annually. Committee work is expected of all board members.

Nominations close on Monday, September 1 at 5:00pm AST. Interested candidates can submit here.

Online voting for the Board of Directors will run Friday, September 5 at noon AST to Friday, September 19 at 5:00pm AST. ECMA members in good standing can vote, with voting occurring exclusively online September 5-19. The results of the election will be announced at the 2014 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, September 23, in downtown St. John’s, NL. (Further details will be released closer to the date).
