The Chester Playhouse presents incredible arts and cultural events, including theatre, music, comedy, film, community events, and more. Located since 1939 in the heart of Chester, NS, the Chester Playhouse will celebrate a grand re-opening in the summer of 2023, after a fire in 2021 forced a move to mobile operations, presenting events across the municipality of Chester. We are excited to welcome artists and audiences to our new, fully rebuilt Playhouse, which will be fully equipped, greener, more accessible, and more comfortable than ever before. Andrew Chandler has served as Executive Director since March 2021, and looks forward to welcoming you to the New Chester Playhouse.
