Andrew Jackson is the Artistic Director of the Halifax Jazz Festival. Halifax Jazz Festival focuses on music with roots in improvisation, jazz, r&b and world music from the east coast, nationally, to awarding international artists. Andrew has the pleasure of programming 6 days of music on 10 stages, involving over 350 musicians. Andrew has received "Promotor of the Year" at the Music Nova Scotia Awards, as well as HJF's Evergreen Stage taking home "Event of the Year". In addition to his work with HJF, Andrew is heavily involved in the local music scene performing with many of the city's. He is also the host of "The Outer Edge" on CKDU 88.1FM, which won "Radio show of the Year at the 2021 Music NS awards. HJF 2023 takes place July 11-16.
