
Ken Hudson is the President and Chair of the African Nova Scotia Music Association. As president he is responsible for helping to ensure the mission of ANSMA is achieved and to help elevate African Nova Scotian/Black music on the world stage. As as transitional leader, Ken strives to live the core values of ANSMA which include a commitment to the Nguzo Saba Principles, collaboration, equity, dedication to excellence, a tradition of innovation, and working with ethics and integrity for its members and stakeholders. Our key programs include school programs, Deeper Than Music Workshops, Lift Every Voice, Black Vibes, and a variety of festivals such as Summer Sunshine. Stay tuned for our upcoming Award Show in October, 2023 which include performance in genres such as gospel, R&B, HipHop, jazz, blues and rap.
