Mickey has just retired from a 17 year stint as a music program officer for the Province of Nova Scotia. Over that time he worked with hundreds of music artists, songwriters, managers, and other industry professionals, helping to grow their careers. Mickey is particularly proud of his work developing mentorships over the years as well as his recent work with the African Nova Scotian Music Association, supporting its growth and expansion.

Prior to that Mickey worked as a musician, booking agent, promoter, artist manager (Blackpool, Rankin Family, Danu, JP Cormier, etc), tour manager, educator, consultant, etc. An ardent supporter of the work ECMA has done over the years, Mickey has often taken part in training and mentorship programs during the conferences and this year is no different!
