Andrew Thomas is the co-founder and director of Between the Trees Festival, a South Wales–based nature and science-themed indie-folk festival now in its ninth year. Recently named Best UK Micro-Festival 2025, the event has built a reputation for its carefully curated trad-folk line-up with a contemporary twist, championing both established and emerging artists while introducing folk music and culture to younger, new audiences. Set in woodland near Pontypridd, the festival blends live music with science, literature and environmental programming in an immersive, family-friendly weekend. The 2026 edition will take place August 27–30 at Candleston Castle in Merthyr Mawr, South Wales.
