Chris Frayer has been involved in the live music industry for the last 26 years as the AD for the West End Cultural Centre, Jazz Winnipeg Festival and the Winnipeg Folk Festival. In addition to the four days in July, he also oversees the Young Performers Program and a year round concert series.

The Winnipeg Folk Festival is a renowned four-day music event at Birds Hill Provincial Park, featuring over 70 acts across multiple stages with intimate daytime workshops and large evening performances from July 9–12, 2026.
