Starting out as an employee working on a gate at George Street Festival in 2009, Joella began to learn all that was involved operationally for running George Street Association events until 2016 when she was promoted to Events Manager and continues to run annual events such as George Street Festival, BIG Birthday Bash, Mardi Gras and New Year’s Eve celebrations. Since beginning this role, she has also become involved with Churchill Park Music Festival and Iceberg Alley Performance Tent, since their inception, as Event Manager working in such areas as Ticketing, Gate Management, Staffing, Payroll, Merchandise, among others and works with the Newfoundland Rogues basketball team as Game Day Operations Manager. These events, varying greatly in size and duration, has helped Joella realize her love for events and all the planning and preparation that goes into them, which are similar to her career in the Information Technology industry.
