As Entertainment & Events Coordinator at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre, Lauren Thomas leads the curation and development of a dynamic and wide-ranging annual performance season. Each season features 24 to 30 offerings, with approximately two-thirds of the presentations focused on music spanning a variety of genres and artistic practices.

From a programming perspective, she is committed to presenting diverse and inclusive work that reflects and strengthens the community, with a strong emphasis on Canadian artists and ensembles. These performances are designed to entertain, educate, and inspire, offering audiences meaningful engagement with Canada’s rich and varied artistic landscape. As one of the larger venues in Southeast Alberta, the Esplanade serves as a cultural leader and community partner, embracing a civic responsibility to champion the arts, foster cultural exchange, and ensure accessible, high-quality artistic experiences for the region.
