Louis Robitaille is the President of the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society and its longest-serving Chair of the Program Committee, bringing over 20 years of experience in curating and presenting the Society’s events. He is deeply committed to showcasing a diverse and gender-balanced lineup of artists, helping to shape Lunenburg’s reputation as a vibrant hub for live music.

The Lunenburg Folk Harbour Society owns and operates the historic Lunenburg Opera House, a century-old theatre located in the heart of the UNESCO World Heritage town of Lunenburg. From this iconic venue, the Society presents concerts throughout the spring, summer, and fall, in addition to its flagship annual festival held each August.

In 2026, the Society will proudly present its 41st annual Folk Harbour Festival and is honoured to be a finalist for Event of the Year—recognition of its longstanding contribution to arts, culture, and community. Louis is also an educator with the Nova Scotia Teachers Union, where he continues to support and advocate for education across the province.
