2024 Canadian Screen Award-winning filmmaker Matt Charlton has produced, directed, written and edited for television, film, commercials, music videos and created content for brands such as Baroness von Sketch Show, Letterkenny, Adult Swim, Nickelodeon and RBC. The 30th Anniversary Special he produced, wrote, and directed on This Hour Has 22 Minutes for CBC TV was named Best Variety or Entertainment Special at the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards. He went on to create a series of field pieces for This Hour Has 22 Minutes working with personalities such as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Oscar-winner Ben Proudfoot, former Daily Show correspondent Roy Wood Jr., and orchestrated a viral ambush of Canadian Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre. He is currently producing a documentary for CBC on the story of Nashville North, writing a screenplay for legendary actor Stephen Dorff, and running a popular YouTube Channel.
