Meghan's professional background is in arts administration, having worked behind the scenes in the music industry on the East Coast for almost 20 years. Although she worked briefly in artist management, it was event and festival management that ultimately became her biggest passion. She finds joy in creating memorable live experiences for audiences and providing opportunities and stages for artists to perform.
As President of the Board of Music Nova Scotia for the past several years, Meghan has led the organization through a period of significant change. Using a collaborative and empathetic approach to leadership, Meghan - together with the MNS team - has reshaped the organization into a much more welcoming, inclusive and diverse space, and has done the same for its annual marquee event, Nova Scotia Music Week.
Meghan and her husband Glenn own Bent Ridge Winery in Windsor, NS, where she books live music throughout the year while he grows grapes and makes wine. Meghan is also the Festival Manager for the Halifax Urban Folk Festival, a weeklong celebration of Singers, Songs & Stories.
