Cranium Arts Project co-founder Michael Kirton has been a part of the Ottawa music scene for over 20 years as an event organizer, a former artist, and supporter of the arts of the city. A graduate of the Music Industry Arts program at Algonquin College, Michael is driven by his personal mission to create more consistent paid opportunities for professional and developing Hip Hop, RnB and AfroBeat artists. He also brings his abilities as a multi-skilled tradesperson which helps when setting up venues and production sites.

Michael graduated from Algonquin College’s Music Industry Arts Program with honours. He is currently working on Cranium’s 2025 Conference and Showcase, Cranium’s 2025 Festival, as well as other projects.
