Naval Sarr is the President and the Founder of the only African music festival in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador called St. John's African Roots festival (SARFest).

SARFest celebrates African culture and music, featuring concerts, workshops, storytelling, and food, aiming to build bridges between the African community and Newfoundlanders.
