Wanting to master her craft, Émilie left behind Northern New-Brunswick to study music in Québec City. During her studies, she met the futur members of her group: Émilie & Les City Folks. Together they launched an album titled: Tomber dedans on July 16th 2016.
That summer, she was a semi-finalist at ‘’Le Festival International de la Chanson de Granby’’. She was also a semi-finalist in 2017 at ‘’Ma première place des arts’’ earning a prize for best stage and television performance. Her bursting passion and love for the stage led her to achieve a similar prize at the 2015 Gala de la chanson de Caraquet. In the fall of 2017, she released her debut EP Être social, in which she decodes the inner workings of her social trial and error: smarturl.it/emilielandry
Marrying elements of pop, and folk to endearing and introspective lyrics, Émilie lets it all out, with a voice that is as gentle as it is powerful. There is a softness and a provocativeness to her words as they sway from painful to playful, sometimes all in one line. With her heart on her sleeve and a guitar in hand, she sings her melancholy through liberating pop folk melodies.
