Amelia Parker lives in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. In 2011 at the age of 6 she began fiddle lessons and has developed a love for a varied mixture of styles including Celtic, Old Time, Québécois and classical which are all intertwined in her playing. This lead to the name of her first CD, "Intertwined", released in the summer of 2019.
Amelia has won various fiddling competitions including the 13-18-year-old group at the Maritime Fiddle Festival in Dartmouth, NS and the Chipman NB competition in 2019. She won first place in the under 18 group and best overall mark in all classes at the 2019 Kirk Logan competition. She also won the New England Regional Scottish Fiddling Championship (under 18) in 2018 which qualified her to compete at the U.S. national Scottish championships in 2019 where she received awards for best march, best organized set and second place overall. Amelia was also invited to represent Nova Scotia as a junior showcase performer at the 2019 Canadian Grand Masters in British Columbia. In 2020 Amelia competed in several online competitions in Canada and the US placing first in two and third to fifth in several others.
