Lynn Colepaugh is based in Riverview, New Brunswick and has worked tirelessly in the music industry. She started as Music Director of her community radio station at Mount Allison University while earning her Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Computer Information Systems. After graduating, she learned the ropes of the music industry from the ground up as a touring musician with Chris Colepaugh and the Cosmic Crew, and then quickly moved into the role of artist management. Coinciding with this were contracts with the regional provincial organizations as Conference/Special Events Coordinator for the East Coast Music Awards and Music New Brunswick
She currently works with nationally recognized artist manager Sheri Jones (David Myles, Joel Plaskett, Gordie Sampson) and Alex Johnson ( Big Sugar, Sit Down, Servant!! and Grady) as a driving force behind their social media marketing and development team, as well as maintaining and developing her current roster of artists (Chris Colepaugh, Gold City Ashes, Juggler’s Whole) and her additional artist, label and social media clients in Canada, the United States and Australia. She has attended, participated in or performed at almost every conference, festival and venue on the East Coast and has deeply rooted connections with her peers in every province.
For the last three years, Lynn has worked hard to bring her social media strategy knowledge to her communities. She has been delivering social media workshops (with a pre-event element delivered by email) as part of the East Coast Music Association’s conference programming since 2015. In 2018 she coordinated with the ECMAs to develop a full pre-event video course covering two distinct in-demand topics. For emerging artists, the weekly educational component delves into “Setting Yourself Up for Success” for online development, and for developed artists, the components cover promotion and working with stakeholders in event coordination and promotion. She was also recently asked to give a presentation to the Cape Breton Music Industry Association on how to develop strong social media habits and curate content as well as was asked to M.C. the inaugural Albert County Chamber of Commerce event in March 2018 where she talked about small business development in social media.
In conjunction to this has been her outreach work to small businesses through the #LadyBossCollective “Munch & Learn” series of workshops presently monthly since 2017 that help local small businesses tackle the process of developing their online identities, navigating changes in social media, putting together effective online marketing strategies and understanding how to steer through the murky world of tech.
