Music in Motion Sync Summit 2026
The Music in Motion: Sync Summit at ECMA 2026 is designed for artists and industry professionals ready to move beyond the basics of music synchronization. This immersive experience brings together music creators and music supervisors through a series of high-impact, interactive sessions, a curated networking mixer, and more. Attendees will gain practical insight into what music supervisors are looking for, learn about real-world placements from the local community, and build meaningful connections with attending sync delegates, with the aim to bridge the gap between preparation and placement in the sync market.
In the Room: The Live Pitch Session
In this high-energy live session, a select group of artists take the floor to pitch their music directly to a panel of working music supervisors — song played aloud, pitch delivered in person, feedback given in real time. It's part performance, part conversation, and entirely practical. Whether you're in the room pitching or watching from the audience, you'll walk away with a clearer sense of what makes a track land. DANICA BANSIE
Music Supervisor, Pirate Sound
Danica is a music supervisor at PIRATE SOUND, a full-service audio house based in Toronto. With over a decade of music industry experience, Danica is a former music photographer, writer, and marketer. With a foundation in media & communications, English literature, and film, Danica brings her love of culture and storytelling to all of the projects she works on. Danica is passionate about the sweet spot where underground DIY music meets the music business at large. She aims to champion the indie, and underrepresented musician in any way she can. Danica is a proud juror for the Polaris Music Prize, and a member of the Guild of Music Supervisors Canada.
WARREN BRAY
Music Supervisor, Grayson Music
Warren Bray is a music supervisor, musician, composer, DJ and music encyclopedia. He is currently working at Grayson Music in Toronto. Born and raised in Scarborough Ontario, Warren has been playing music and reading album liner notes since he was a kid. As one of the founding members of Toronto band Grand Analog, he’s played shows all over the world, performing alongside groups like The Roots, Big Boi from Outkast, Shad, The Halluci Nation and more. Warren has over a decade of experience in the licensing world and has written music for commercials, film and TV as well. He also has a new soundtrack/prog band called Røisen, whose debut record is coming out later this year.
VINCE DEGIORGIO
CEO/Publishing, Cymba Music Publishing
Vincent Degiorgio is the President of Cymba Music Publishing, based in Toronto. A multi platinum songwriter, advocate and music publisher, he heads Cymba alongside Patrick Bunston. Cymba represents a host of great artists and writers such as Logan Richard, Kayo, Rachel Cousins, Emelia May and The Absolute Losers. Aided by ECMA producer of the year nominee Daniel Adams and past winners Erin Costelo and Corey LeRue, our team is everywhere. Cymba has been nominated four years in a row by the Canadian Guild of Music Supervisors for Best Sync Team. We are always looking for talented artists, writers and producers to be part of what we do.
ASHA DILLION
SVP - Music Creative & Production, The Wilders
Asha Dillion is an audio producer and music supervisor who calls Toronto, Canada her home. Her extensive background in music and audio production for long-format content has allowed her to further develop her craft from a creative, technical and production standpoint while remaining in service to each project’s story. Asha's portfolio includes everything from in-studio audio work to collaborating directly with sound designers, composers, musicians, and production teams to create sonic experiences that leave a lasting impact on audiences worldwide. Asha has recently worked on notable projects such as Canada's Drag Race, My Little Pony, Late Bloomer and Blue Rodeo: Lost Together.

Under his leadership, CCS has experienced continuous growth and significantly expanded its global reach and scope of services provided to a growing roster of award-winning and up-and-coming songwriters, artists, musicians, producers, and labels, as well as major corporate brands and other rights holders.
The company manages more than 150,000 copyrights and specializes in publishing administration, royalty collections, creative services, and music licensing for film, TV advertising, games and other media.
HEATHER GARDNER
Music Supervisor/Founder, Peachy Keen Music Supervision
With Heather at the helm, everything is going to be peachy keen. With professional training in piano performance and arts management, her ears intimately understand the relationship between song and picture, and how to harmoniously capture that magic within any budget parameters. Heather balances her right brain creativity with meticulous left brain attention to detail, allowing for a seamless licensing process from concept to contract to cue sheet. After over 17 years in music supervision, her credits span worldwide television series, feature films, TV movies, advertising campaigns, and video games, garnering her three Canadian Sync Awards wins and many more nominations.
Heather serves as President of the Guild of Music Supervisors, Canada, a non-profit organization with the mission to promote the craft of music supervision in Canada. She is incredibly keen about the intersection of music and filmed media, and the transformative power of the perfect needle drop moment to tell a story. Whether securing the rights to your dream song or developing a project’s sonic palette from scratch, Heather is a consummate collaborator.
In 2025, Heather was named to Billboard Canada’s inaugural 40 Under 40 list, honouring the next generation of innovators shaping the future of music. When not falling down a musical rabbit hole or (kindly) harassing folks for clearances, Heather is a semi-professional theme parker, mozzarella stick enthusiast, and mom of two small hooligans and one old cocker spaniel.
CHRISTINE LESLIE
Music Supervisor/Executive Producer/Partner, TA2 Sound + Music
Christine Leslie is an accomplished Executive Producer and Music Supervisor specializing in music licensing and production for television, radio, and long-form entertainment. With more than 20 years of industry experience, she has served as both Licensing Director and Music Supervisor on a wide range of commercial productions, delivering strategic music solutions for leading global brands.
In addition to her commercial work, Christine has contributed her expertise to numerous television series and acclaimed Canadian feature films, Her work is recognized for its creative sensitivity, strong industry relationships, and deep understanding of music storytelling. Christine is a proud member of the Canadian Guild of Music Supervisors and is currently a Partner at TA2 Sound + Music in Toronto, where she continues to lead innovative music supervision and production initiatives across film, television, and branded content.
SIÂN O'BYRNE
Music Supervisor, The Song Rep
With over 12 years of dedicated experience in the world of music supervision, Siân has built a reputation for seamlessly bridging the gap between music and storytelling. A graduate of the Arts and Entertainment Management program at Capilano University, Sian gained invaluable industry insights through internships with The Song Rep and Nettwerk Music Group. Throughout her career, Sian has contributed to the success of over 250 productions, bringing a keen ear, strategic vision, and deep industry knowledge to every project. Sian has worked on projects for various networks including Netflix, Hallmark, A&E, Amazon, Fifth Season, E! and has a soft spot for independent passion projects.
Siân has a diploma in Arts and Entertainment Management from Capilano University, and is near completion on a Sustainable Business certificate through BCIT. She is a member of the Canadian Guild of Music Supervisors, The Vancouver Post Alliance and CARAS.
CODY PARTRIDGE
Music Supervisor/President, Pear Tree Music Supervision
Cody Partridge is a multi-award-winning Music Supervisor and President of Pear Tree Music Supervision. With over a decade of experience in the industry, his 200+ credits help demonstrate his versatility in navigating music clearances and placements over all forms of media. Cody prides himself on being the ‘Indiana Jones of Music Clearances’, constantly finding hidden gems, and never allowing rights holders to go undiscovered. His main objective is to assist a production in creating the project that they envision, and he is happy to facilitate the needs in both a creative and/or administrative capacity as each specific project requires. Cody is on the Board of Directors and the Vice President of the Canadian Guild of Music Supervisors, helping to support and evolve the community of music supervision.
MICHAEL PERLMUTTER
Owner/Music Supervisor, instinct entertainment
Michael has spent over 20 years working in the music, film, and television industries, placing thousands of songs in TV shows, films, and documentaries that have been seen and heard around the world. His work seamlessly blends creative vision with strategic music placement, enhancing storytelling and leaving a lasting impact on audiences.
His television credits include Fellow Travelers, Memory Of A Killer, North of North, The Institute, From, Orphan Black Echoes, The Handmaid’s Tale season one, Altered Carbon, Beacon 23, Private Eyes, Private Eyes West Coast, Wild Cards, Vikings, Degrassi, Beauty and The Beast, and Queer As Folk.
