Andrée Gracie Appointed Interim Managing Director of the East Coast Music Association
Halifax, NS – [June 3, 2025] — The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrée Gracie as Interim Managing Director, effective immediately. Gracie will lead the organization during this transitional period, overseeing day-to-day operations and advancing key initiatives identified by the ECMA Board of Directors.
A respected leader in the Canadian music and event industries, Gracie brings a wealth of experience to the role. She will play a pivotal part in ensuring organizational continuity and momentum as the ECMA begins the search for a new Executive Director.
In addition to guiding ECMA’s business affairs, Gracie will continue to work on strategic projects aimed at enhancing service to ECMA’s membership, including preparations for the 2026 East Coast Music Awards, Festival and Conference taking place in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
“We’re thrilled to have Andrée step into this role at such a critical time,” said Michelle Eagles, Chair of the ECMA Board. “Her deep knowledge of the music industry, leadership experience, and longstanding relationship with the ECMA make her the ideal person to help guide the organization forward.”
Gracie, who has previously served as General Manager for two Halifax-hosted JUNO Weeks and has led numerous large-scale cultural events across Atlantic Canada, says she is honoured to support the ECMA during this transitional phase.
“It’s a privilege to help steward this organization that has meant so much to so many artists, industry professionals, and communities across Atlantic Canada,” said Gracie. “I look forward to continuing the work of the ECMA team as we build toward an incredible 2026 event in Sydney.”
