ECMA 2019 Awards & Stages Info

Submissions have now closed for the 2019 ECMA Awards and Showcases.

Awards Eligibility Period: An album/song/video must have been released between June 1, 2017-October 3, 2018 to be eligible for this year’s awards.

*Note that members of CBMIC, Musique/Music NB, Music NL, Music NS, and Music PEI are eligible for free ECMA memberships. Please contact your local Association for more information.

Showcase Submission Requirements:

*NEW: Eligibility Period to Showcase

To be eligible for the majority of showcases, artists must have had an a qualifying release (minimum of 3 songs released to the public) within the eligibility period:

(1) recording released within the past (2) years (physical and/or digital), OR (1) recording being released (physical and/or digital) within the eligible time period of: October 4th, 2018 - May 5th, 2019.

Please refer to the 2019 Awards & Stages Manual for all showcase eligibility criteria.

Nominations:

The ECMA nominees are determined by over 250 regional, national, and international jurors who are experts in their field. All nominees and winners are chosen solely based on juror scores, with exception of the two (2) Fans’ Choice awards, whose winners are determined by public vote.

Showcasing Artists are first reviewed and scored by the jurors, and then programmed with the help of the five (5) regional Music Industry Associations (MIAs) and the ECMA Programming Committee.
