Chris is founder of Smithereen Music Group. Smithereen consults for artists/managers/labels; building teams, programme tours, festival and sourcing showcase opportunities in the UK and EU. He is also founder of the new discovery festival, 'City Sounds' in Chichester, and 'The Smithereen Takeover' in Brighton, which consists of 9 unofficial stages over the Great Escape weekend in the city; proudly showcasing over 100 acts from around the world in 2023. Smithereen started as Chris trying to help artists he met on his own tours, slowly turning into what Smithereen is today. As an artist and writer Chris has played sold out shows all over the world (India, USA, UK and EU in 2023) and opened on tour for artists including Sir Tom Jones, Simply Red, Paloma Faith, Passenger, James Bay, Jackson Browne, Suzanne Vega, Gaz Coombes, as well as writing with acts ranging from Royal Blood through to Yungblud.
