Representing the region of Cape Breton Island, NS, Duane is the Executive Director for the Cape Breton Music Industry Cooperative also known as CBMIC. As a Not-for Profit organization, over the past 16 years CBMIC has been working diligently to support the Cape Breton Music Industry. While only in his 6th year with CBMIC, for the past thirty years, Duane has had at least one hand involved with the music business on one level or another. Whether through freelance tech work, artist promotional work, running a music venue, event planning or just writing and performing music, Duane has become well recognized around the NS music scene. Duane is known for his dedication, vision, and unending drive to support and grow all things music, especially when it comes to the success of others.
