Residing in Appleton, WI, Ian Thomson is a festival talent buyer, promoter, brand ambassador, and an independent artist manager. Ian has been a part of the music industry ecosystem for the past 10 years. He started volunteering with Mile of Music festival, in Appleton, WI and has worked into contract roles; first as the festival’s volunteer coordinator then operations and venue coordinator before being brought on-board as the festival's talent buyer. In September, 2019, Ian began his next chapter in our industry ecosystem, that of an artist manager for Adrian and Meredith, Danni Nicholls, and Megan Slankard.

Returning for its eleventh festival in 2024, Mile of Music festival features 200+ up-and-coming artists performing free shows over four days in an unforgettable music-filled weekend with over 700 incredible shows. Mile 11 welcomes the finest talent, including singer-songwriters, duos and multi-piece bands showcasing original roots music ranging from indie and folk-rock to soul, to folk, bluegrass and more. The 2024 Mile of Music festival takes place August 1-4.
