Liana White is the Executive Director of the Canadian National Office of the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada (AFM/CFM). For 30- years she has been serving the interests of professional musicians and securing their place in the labour movement. White is an advocate for artists on an array of matters, such as copyright reform, performance tax credits and improvements to cross-border travel. She also negotiates agreements which protect artists' work and mentors them in all aspects of their career. In addition to her role at the union, she is a founding Board Member, and the Chair of Women in Music Canada.
