Lindsay Connolly, the Executive Director of Under the Spire, is a PEI-born musician and arts administrator who works to foster arts sustainability and community relationships in an inclusive and respectful environment. After five years as a freelance performer, grant-writer and arts administrator for organizations across Canada, Lindsay returned to the East Coast in 2021 to begin work with Under the Spire, formerly known as Indian River Festival. UTS is a concert series running from June-September and featuring many diverse genres all to highlight our acoustically unparalleled venue Historic St. Mary’s. Genres include classical, chamber music, folk, indie pop, trad, world, and more. Lindsay was recently recognized with the inaugural Leo Cheverie Cultural Connector of the Year Award from the PEI Arts Awards, and is nominated by the 2024 ECMAs for Innovator of the Year. She is grateful to work, play, and live in beautiful Kataganek Epekwitk, the traditional unceded territory of the L’nu and Mi’kmaq.
