ECMA Cup 50/50 raffle announced in support of Sound Minds and the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia
As part of the 2023 ECMA Cup Charity Hockey Game, the East Coast Music Association has partnered with the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia to hold an online 50/50 Raffle in support of Sound Minds.
Sound Minds is a named grant of the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia aimed at promoting the mental health, wellness, and resilience of Nova Scotia artists. This 3-year program will support the mental health of music industry professionals.
The Sound Minds program provides musicians with:
One on One counseling (at no charge)
Peer support (group and individual)
Educational workshops
Addiction recovery groups
The ECMA Cup will take place during the 35th ECMA Festival and Conference - and Canadian Mental Health Week - which is fitting as it provides the opportunity for musicians to get physically active and “take a break” from the stress often associated with industry conferences. All funds raised will go directly to supporting the mental health of musicians/artists in Nova Scotia.
50/50 raffle tickets are on sale starting Saturday, April 1 at 9:00 AM Atlantic Time. Ticket sales will close on Sunday, May 7 at 11:59 PM; the draw will take place on Monday, May 8 at 10:00 AM.
