Neon Dreams, Brandon Howard Row, Rum Ragged & KINLEY to perform at Dairy Farmers of Canada ECMA Fan Fest in Charlottetown, May 4

(Halifax, NS) – The East Coast Music Association (ECMA) is excited to announce the return of the Dairy Farmers of Canada ECMA Fan Fest outside on Victoria Row in Charlottetown on Saturday, May 4 from 12 noon to 3 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will feature performances by Neon Dreams, Brandon Howard Roy, Rum Ragged and KINLEY.

“On behalf of Dairy Farmers of PEI, Dairy Farmers of Nova Scotia and Dairy Farmers of New Brunswick, we are thrilled to continue our partnership with the ECMAs and are excited to host the second DFC ECMA Fan Fest,” said Dairy Farmers of PEI General Manager, Doug Thompson. “The convergence of music and dairy, representing two iconic East Coast traditions, promises an unforgettable experience on the Island.”

Fan Fest is an opportunity for fans of all ages to enjoy live East Coast music and get up close and personal with their favourite musicians through meet and greets after the show and more fun surprises from 2024 ECMA sponsors.

“Getting artists from across the East Coast to Charlottetown is no small feat,” said Blanche Israël, Chief Executive Officer for ECMA. “It’s thanks to dedicated Canadian sponsors like Dairy Farmers of PEI, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick that ECMA is able to present performances by world-class artists to local audiences for free.” and

Returning to Fan Fest for a second straight year, Nova Scotia’s high-energy pop duo Neon Dreams has garnered Gold and Platinum singles; accumulated tens of millions of streams; played sold out shows, and won numerous Canadian awards — including a coveted JUNO award. They mix rock with pop sensibilities, writing music from their hearts without being concerned with genre, and incorporate everything from EDM to reggae in their sound. This year, Neon Dreams garnered four ECMA nominations, including Album of the Year and TD Fans’ Choice Entertainer of the Year.

With his latest single, “Give Me Love” recently nominated for Song of the Year at the 2023 East Coast Music Awards as well as numerous ECMA and Music PEI Award nods over the years, Brandon Howard Roy is a Prince Edward Island based, Queer singer-songwriter who has firmly established himself as a force in the East Coast indie pop music scene. Backed by an all star band, his indie-pop sound is fun and groovy sung with a voice that reaches the stratosphere.

Rum Ragged take a bold approach to the distinct folk music of their home, the Eastern Canadian island of Newfoundland. With a reverence for their roots and a creative, contemporary edge, this young band has quickly become known as the finest performers of their great, living, musical tradition. Boasting bouzouki, fiddle, bodhran, banjo, guitar, and button accordion, these new champions of East Coast music enliven and enlighten audiences with their signature brand of Newfoundland folk. Rum Ragged is nominated for a 2024 ECMA for TD Fans’ Choice Entertainer of the Year.

She’s a skilled and sought-after collaborator at her core, sharing countless stages and recording credits with some of Canada’s best-known artists since her teens; now, PEI indie pop powerhouse KINLEY has adapted that approach into her solo work – and is delivering the most compelling material of her decorated career as a result. KINLEY is nominated for two 2024 ECMAs, including Pop Recording of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.
