Returning to Fan Fest for a second straight year, Nova Scotia’s high-energy pop duo Neon Dreams has garnered Gold and Platinum singles; accumulated tens of millions of streams; played sold out shows, and won numerous Canadian awards — including a coveted JUNO award. They mix rock with pop sensibilities, writing music from their hearts without being concerned with genre, and incorporate everything from EDM to reggae in their sound. This year, Neon Dreams garnered four ECMA nominations, including Album of the Year and TD Fans’ Choice Entertainer of the Year.
With his latest single, “Give Me Love” recently nominated for Song of the Year at the 2023 East Coast Music Awards as well as numerous ECMA and Music PEI Award nods over the years, Brandon Howard Roy is a Prince Edward Island based, Queer singer-songwriter who has firmly established himself as a force in the East Coast indie pop music scene. Backed by an all star band, his indie-pop sound is fun and groovy sung with a voice that reaches the stratosphere.
Rum Ragged take a bold approach to the distinct folk music of their home, the Eastern Canadian island of Newfoundland. With a reverence for their roots and a creative, contemporary edge, this young band has quickly become known as the finest performers of their great, living, musical tradition. Boasting bouzouki, fiddle, bodhran, banjo, guitar, and button accordion, these new champions of East Coast music enliven and enlighten audiences with their signature brand of Newfoundland folk. Rum Ragged is nominated for a 2024 ECMA for TD Fans’ Choice Entertainer of the Year.
She’s a skilled and sought-after collaborator at her core, sharing countless stages and recording credits with some of Canada’s best-known artists since her teens; now, PEI indie pop powerhouse KINLEY has adapted that approach into her solo work – and is delivering the most compelling material of her decorated career as a result. KINLEY is nominated for two 2024 ECMAs, including Pop Recording of the Year and Songwriter of the Year.
